By the Black Sea

The first gig on our fall tour took place in a Greco-Roman style garden in a castle on the shoreline of the Black Sea.

With the sound of the sea as a musical backdrop we played to a crowd of promoters and festival managers who had come to the annual “Without Borders” showcase festival in the beautiful town of Balchik.

“Summer decided to stay for the festival,” a local radio personality told us after the show, smiling, refering to the weather that blessed the festival with summery temperatures and a cloudless, star-filled sky. And we – a band of wind-beaten Icelanders used to far colder temperatures – were all too happy to enjoy this warm Bulgarian weather and the summery smile of the local radio luminary.
