We have made our remix EP Tvíeind available to order here on our homepage, as well as on Amazon, iTunes, and in all your favorite streaming services such as SoundCloud, Last.fm and Spotify. If you couldn’t get ahold of it when we put it out on gogoyoko.com due to access restrictions in your country, then the wait is finally over. We’re really happy about this one: from Ruxpin’s hyper-glitch remix of “Lost in You” to the nostalgic beats adorning the SAKARIS Neighties remix of “Ljóð í sand,” and the new concept artwork by our friend Alli Metal, it’s something a lot of talented people put their hearts into and it feels good to get it out into the world.
To celebrate we put out a new music video to “Á meðan jörðin sefur,” directed by Gunnar Bjarni Guðbjörnsson, with whom we have had a long collaborative history. Here it is:
At the same time, our buddies iamthemorning over in Russia simultaneously put out a music video for their original rework of “Á meðan jörðin sefur” from the Tvíeind EP.
iamthemorning may be getting some attention on Icelandic radio for being one of the few foreign bands (I can’t think of any others… maybe the only one?) to rework an Icelandic song in actual Icelandic (and pronounce it right). Those of you who have approached this ludicrously difficult language know this is no small feat. Props!

We’re happy and proud to announce that we will be supporting Pain of Salvation on their European Tour in April!

The three week tour will be exclusively acoustic based and will coincide with Pain of Salvation’s upcoming album release featuring acoustic versions of the band’s material.
Also joining the bill is the remarkable singer/songwriter Anneke van Giersbergen, known from The Gathering, and her work with The Dewin Townsend Project, Anathema, The Human Experiemente (Maynard Keenan, Robert Fripp) to name a few.
We’re great admirers of Pain of Salvation and feel deeply honored to opening for them!
See you all on tour!

New Rehearsal Place

We’re moving into a new rehearsal place. ‘Toppstöðinn‘ is an old coal-power plant situated at the perimeter of Reykjavík. Built just after the second World War, the 6400 m2 steel building seems like the perfect outlandish place to write a new album, and prepare for the upcoming tours!
